The Artesian series is a faithful recreation of the original PAF (Patent Applied For) pickups made during Gibson's golden era during the 50s and early 60s, using only the highest quality parts available, including butyrate bobbins, maple spacers and Elektrisola 42AWG (0.0635mm) plain enamel wire and AlNiCo 4 magnets.
The Greene/Moore/Hammett neck pickup is a recreation of the neck pickup that was broken and re-wound incorrectly….with surprisingly pleasant results. Using 42 AWG Heavy Formvar wire as found in the pre CBS Stratocasters, this limited the output to around 7.0K and limited the bass response which can be overwhelming in a Gibson neck pickup. this makes the Greene/Moore/Hammett neck pickup the perfect option for those looking for clarity from a neck pickup.
